I purchased the previous version of Sonic The Hedgehog which was previously released on the Play Store, Which has now been deleted from the play store in replacement for this version which has in app purchases, Meaning I'd have to pay for the game again to play it, I have no doubt its very reasonably priced but its unfair that I'd have to pay again.

I have the free version and the ads aren't as intrusive as I thought they would be, never thought I would play this game again cuz of how long ago it came out and now that it's back in all its original glory for free on the go is a dream come true with controller support. Wish Sega made better Decisions in the 90s so they would be huge like the big 3 because there my favorite but that doesn't mean they can't make something amazing as this again.

This is very good, as I love platformers. I also love this game as it is a Mobile Port, and I could use controller and not touchscreen. I also am happy this is here is because I dont need to buy a whole consle and the game. I'm fine with the ads, and I understand the graphics, as its a port of an old game. Overall, its a good app.

Solid classic game. The ads are mostly non invasive when compared to many, MANY other mobile games. As a casual game you play whenever you're bored and only have your phone on ya, I'd really recommend this. Now for some ingame issues. Sonic is kinda hard ti control on mobile, but the devs were fortunately aware of this, so they've made how and where you land a little bit easier compared to the orginal. 3 stars. Right in the middle guys. Which is good for me, i have high standards. x'D

This is the perfect moible port for a game like that. I'm fine with the ads and the controls. And the cool part, you can skip the ads. Yeah, you heard me, SKIP. And I really like the main menu, it looks cool. And I never played the first sonic before, AND THIS IS PERFECT! The best part are save files. Once I got a game over, it took me back to the menu, and then, I saw the first save file tell where I left off, Marble Zone Act 1. In the genisis version, it just restarts the whole game. Good job

I've beat this game before on this, and I've got to say, this is great! It adds achievements, improved saving, and many other things. When you get a game over, you'll start at the act you left off in, great! The 16:9 makes it a tad easier but harder at the same time, thx! Only gripe is that I'm dumb and can't connect a credit card to my account! This is great, thanks Sega!

Everything is fine with this, just that when I try to turn on debug mode, it pauses the game, forcing me to watch and add just to toggle debug mode on and off. Please fix this, as Sonic 2 also has this issue. I don't mind the ads, what I don't mind is a glitch/bug that forces me to watch an ad. Pretty sure even if I pay for no ads, the issue would still be present

SO GUUUD. I really like this game. It's very easy but still good to play if you like Sonic games and want to play the game that started the Sonic franchise and made it I to what it is today. However, it would be better if you added more games from other game consoles like the 32X, Master System , Dreamcast and Saturn. It would be really cool if you did. I hope you see this message, Sega.

This is one of the best versions of Sonic 1, and for those who are complaining about ads and need to use internet to play, I turned off internet and I was just fine, even the ads played rarely after turning off internet, I didnt buy the ad-free version, The only time I needed internet was when the game asks your age. So if I didnt face the issue how are others?

I got this game with the play pass subscription. I wasn't expecting the game to play well since it is supposed to be played with a controller. I was pleasantly surprised. The touch controls work very well for this game, even when you get in situations where you need precise movement. This Sega game has me now interested in looking at the other games from them on play store. Great job, Sega. Five stars.
