Grim Quest is a classic turn-based RPG Dungeon Crawler with gothic aesthetics and a retro vibe. It is set in a dark fantasy world with elements of Lovecraftian horror and Freudian psychology, and puts a lot of emphasis on atmosphere and immersion with dark visuals, music and lots of written text. Some roguelike elements are thrown in for good measure. Such a brilliant game. It's the first time I've played a game like this and I'm thoroughly surprised. Also I like the approach the developer had with this game, they clearly care about it and don't ram adverts or micro transactions down your throat. They also don't make you run out of in game energy leaving you unable to play unless you wait or pay to play. I'm rating 5 stars because you deserve it.

Fantastic game, love the musical score and it seems like I could spend a lot of time on it I've the next few weeks/months (only been playing for 30 mins but absolutely loving it) My only thing I would add to the developer is I understand the need to make money, and I would have paid for no ads if it had been around the £3.50 - £3.99 mark, but £6.49 made me stop doing so as I want to know of there's longevity in the game before committing that extra money. Just a thought!

i really like this game, its a lot of fun and immersive, but i cant get more than 5 minutes in before it crashes and freezes my entire phone, causing me to have to hard reset it, i dont know if its my phone or a major bug in the game that causes this, the game has some pretty bad stability issues, but once those are resolved, this game will be perfect

Could not play for the first few minutes without being forced to watch ads to gain coins. Reason being that the beginning stages were made so tough that it forces you to lose more coin than youd ever hope to gain by questing, thus forcing you to watch ads. Bs, and not fun. Not going to get into it. Edit in response: I'd love to be more clear, but the word limit wont do it justice. The best I can manage is to say that I cant properly play like the character I might choose without ads or grinding

Great game, simple but fun! Ads aren't annoying and it's easy to understand. I don't have any major issues, only a few minor ones. 1. I think (imo) there should be 2 accessories alots available, instead of one. Some accessories are miles better than others, so it could give us some options. Maybe it can be separated into major and minor accessories, so people don't get major boosts that make the game too easy. 2. I think the character tab should have a pierce rating. Overall, love the game

A true hidden gem. Lots of thought went into this game. It's doesn't shove ads down your throat. It's completely possible to beat the game at a very reasonable pace without having to "pay to play". Purchasing anything in the game will legitimately help this developer push out more great games in the future. Great job! I've been playing this while watching my newborn. Easy to pick up and continue on. Cheers!

Fantastic game. Have spent hours over the last week playing -- it's not overly complicated and only takes a few minutes to get the hang of it. Well fleshed out world and there is plenty to do. By far my favorite old school RPG on the app store. I only wish there was more information online -- like a wiki -- as there are so many items and builds, spells, skills, items, etc. Would love some indepth reading on character builds, enemies, and the like.

Pretty cool, but I have a couple complaints. First it's so hard to reorder spells, the screen space is so small I can't even tell where I'm trying to drag to. Second, I find it frustrating to scroll through the stash. Is it possible to expand it while scrolling? Something like when you go to the store and scroll down into your backpack it expands?

An absolutely phenomenal experience reminiscent of old school TTRPGs. While it's single player, the game provides that same sense of nostalgia where I was surrounded by friends as we trekked through dungeons. The game has ads but this is easily overlooked by the richness of the story and evident love that the devs put in the game. The gameplay is tough but fair and you can easily get lost in the lore of the game. 5/5

I was expecting that text, turn-based style like "You stand by a river and there's an axe on the ground. What do you do?" And I would have been totally happy with that, but I was blown away with interactive choices and visuals. And it's not too overwhelming with 1000 choices, while adding 1000 more/level. Great job. Two questions: 1) Is there a printable list of the recipes that are in the boiling cauldron so I don't have to manually write it down? 2)Do updates/fixes happen automatically?
